It's all about the Bassets!
"it's all about the Bassets!" is the rallying cry of all Basset Rescue groups I know of, as well as everyone who visits our site. Whether you live with one or more Basset Hounds, rescue them, show them, raise money for them, treat them when they're sick, or just love them -- perhaps remembering one special one from earlier in your life--, we all share this mantra. And that goes for those of us who paint them too.

This collage of thumbnails consists of details of 56 paintings I have made of the beloved breed. There are seversl more in the Print Gallery, but that many would thrown the design off kilter, and no one wants that. By concentrating on the dogs in these snippets of paintings we are omitting much of the backgrounds--leaving us with pure essence of Basset.

We have printed a limited number of these 12 x 18 in. posters, framed behind glass, in a Basset-colored frame some people call maple. They're wired and ready to hang.
