You are not limited to the sizes and proportions in the Price Table. Size can range from 8 x 8" to 55 x 100" . "Portrait" or "Landscape" layouts are the same, as the camera cares only about image size, not which way you turn the canvas. Above are comparative giclee size and price options from the painting, "Night Before Christmas." It was an 18 x 24 in. original. While the proportions are pretty much determined by the length of one dimension you choose, in preparing the art for the giclee maker, I have a little wiggle room to expand or contract the dimensions photographically as shown. You might wish to do this so you could buy a standard-sized frame. Since giclees are always stretched to even inches, not fractions, a small amount of photo distortion is often present, but it is not noticeable. I don't mind a little jiggling with the proportions of my paintings, as long as I'm the one doing it. You receive from me a jpeg proof of the sized image to approve before it goes to the giclee printer.
To Frame or Not to Frame--All of our giclees are printed with a varnished surface and stretched on board. All are gallery wrapped with the image extended over the four sides. All giclee purchases will be appropriately wired and ready for hanging with or without a frame.
If you want a frame, I present three options and price guides on the next page. With frames, the sky's the limit in terms of style, surface treatment (e.g., distressed, driftwood), color, and of course price, though most of us constrain ourselves to a reasonable degree. Shipping and Delivery--Plan on two weeks. I can give you a more accurate time-line when I know your specifications. The actual cost of shipping is $14.96 per piece in the US. Our flat-rate $8 shipping charge covers about half of that and I subsidize the remaining shipping cost on non-rush items. Rush production is available for an additional fee of $25.
Payment--There is no way you can push a PayPall button and purchase a custom giclee. After we've gone over your job together and figured out everything I'll email you an invoice, that is after we consult by phone or email and you approve of any jpeg mock-ups I send. Your invoice will arrive minutes after we've completed your Giclee Package to your satisfaction.

One More Stab at Introducing Giclees!
Giclees are the greatest product to hit the art world for the past 2000 years, because these canvas reproductions bring down prices to make beautiful art affordable to just about EVERYONE! Although the four customers to whom I sold gicless this summer and spring were delighted with them, I am discouraged that there was no greater interest. This fall I am hoping a simpler presentation and refigured price schedule will induce more of you to try them out.
1. Giclees are high-resolution reproductions of our original Basset paintings printed on canvas. It is difficult to tell them apart
from the real McCoy.
2. You choose the approximate size you want; the proportions are pretty much determined by your first measure. I help you
with this and can do a little jiggering with proportions when I prepare the art.
3. Because they are made by a giclee maker who works from high definition computerized images I provide, they are still
available after the original is sold.
4. They cost far less than originals.

How to Purchase 2: Ordering a Customized Giclee Package (ready to hang)
Each giclee order is a custom production or reproduction, and we will work together to create it. Your Giclee Package will include your selection of a painting to be reproduced, its size, any necessary cropping decisions, your frame pick, if you want one, estimated date of delivery, and of course, THE TOTAL PRICE! I guarantee no surprises.
OUR NEW REVISED PRICE SCHEDULE. Since the updated site went up a few weeks ago, we've searched for and found a Giclee Printer in North Carolina who makes it possible to lower our prices by quite a bit--$20 to $30 per canvas.
All our giclees are wrapped around their stretching boards, and, if you wish, the image on the
front of the canvas can be extended digitally to cover all four edges. This is called a Gallery
Wrap. Or the sides can be solid black or solid white. Staples are not visible on the sides., and
many people choose to hang their giclees unframed.
The depth of the canvas depends on the width of the stretcher board which holds the canvas in
place. Thin or Traditional Giclees are wrapped around 3/4 inch board; Thick or New Style
giclees use boards that are 1 1/2-inches thick. Thick or thin has nothing to do with the quality or
weight of the canvas, only with the depth of the sides surrounding it (or, how far they stick out from the wall). Thin Giclees are not inferior or less durable than thick ones. It's simply a matter of preference.

Frames offer so many possibilities and require so many decisions that I've given them their own page.
Though not at all essential in displaying galley-wrapped giclees, many people prefer a frame--including me.

Giclee canvases will come to you stretched and mounted on board, ready to hang. (If you prefer to receive them rolled in a tube, you pay less. (We can arrange this.) You will be charged for the exact size you order. There is no surcharge for a giclee that is not a standard size, but they must be full inches, no fractions
Giclee Prices--With and Without Frames
If any of these prices seem inconsistent with those close in size, ask me to recalculate for you. Some discrepancies are due to the fact that price for the printing process is determined by the area of the piece ordered. Try multiplying length times height to get the area, then see how the pricing compares with others by area.
