Midwest Bassets in Winter Scroll down for options
As much as Bassets love napping by a warm fire on cold winter days, they can also be induced to go outside. Going on a ride in the car is always exciting, especially if you get to ride shotgun and if the heater is on high.
Walks are also fun, if you are allowed to sniff around a lot. And of course for a few minutes it's challenging to burrow through the snow so that only your tail shows, like a periscope on a submarine.
But Midwest farm Bassets claim to be hardier than most. Certainly they're up for a ride on a wagon and sometimes for chasing deer and rabbits through shorn rows of corn.
