There is a blizzard in Washington D.C., but the two Bassets in Liz's painting are as snug as can be. Lounging comfortably in the warm, red interior of Jack and Liz's apartment, they look through the window onto the snow-covered park below, stark and white.

The Bassets are curious about the dogs who are being walked below in the snowy park, maybe--but mostly they're glad to be inside.

The National Cathedral is barely visible on this cloudy day.
