Though Basset Hounds find it difficult and tedious to follow politics as intently as they might, these two have become aware of the excitment generated in the Human world about the Tea Party.  They were delighted therefore when they learned that one of their humans was planning to host a Tea Party in their own house.

Besides being out-of-the-loop on politics, this pair had no clue about the social etiquette. They did not know you were supposed to get an invitation; they did not know when the party was supposed to begin; they didn't know that you weren't supposed to start eating until all the guests and the hostess were seated; and they didn't know you were supposed to chew with your mouth shut.

But they had a good time anyway and decided they should become more involved in politics in the future.
