SOPHISTICATES
Bassets are increas-ingly favorite city dogs, adopting well to city life and apartment living.
Their laid-back ways and easy-to-satisfy exercise requirements (as well as their sophisticated appearance) make them ideal urban dwellers. They do prefer a pack of at least two, however.

SPECIAL BASSET MOMENTS
This section should probably be labeled "Miscellaneous," except that implies lack of purpose, and Bassets always do things for a reason and with unshakeable purpose.
The top row shows Bassets engaging in Christmas activities.
The second row illustrates 'helping paws,' in several way.
The bottom rows depict the athletic Basset, in the hunt, capturing tennis balls, agility competition. and at the BHCA Nationals, taking a break.

BASSETS IN THE GARDEN
No one enjoys the tranquility of a garden or the outdoors in general more than a Basset.
The warm sun on a spring, summer, or fall day is just an invit-ation to doze, or sunbathe, or snap at a fly or two.
Winter's not too bad, if your human gets out his snowblower and clears out a decent-sized area for you.
