Low, Low $8 Flat-Rate Shipping

In an effort to minimize shipping costs (there is no handling fee), my shipping cost is a flat rate of $8 for any order no matter how big or small, shipped within the 48 contiguous United States. The sole exception is original art, which is already included within the quoted price.  Canadian Customers:  I welcome your business. But shipping costs make it necessary for me to charge you a basic rate of $12 USD. I will send PayPal customers an invoice for the extra $4.

Hawaii, Alaska, International and Express Shipping

If you wish to purchase from BassetHoundArt.com and ship outside the 48 contiguous states, I’d love to do business with you, but the mail, express shippers, and customs do not make it as cheap or easy. Please call me or send an email and let me work out exact costs for you to consider before making a purchase. I’ll keep it as low as possible!

Navigating the Site

This web site is divided into six sections: Introduction, Gallery, Product Catalog, About the Artist, Links & Partners, and the section you are currently viewing, Contact Us. Each section is accessible via the links that appear across the top of every page.

About Us - About the Schillingers (Liz, Jack, Ruby, Sluggo, and Charlotte) and the Studio

Customer Info – This is the section you’re in now, full of useful info, we hope.

How To Order

There are two ways to purchase products on BassetHoundArt.com.

1. PAYPAL allows you to pay for your order with a credit card. Just click any of the "add to cart" buttons on BassetHoundArt.com and you will be taken to your personal PayPal shopping cart.

2. ORDER BY MAIL-IN FORM or PHONE: The second is to use our printable order form or call your order in at 540-465-2828. Simply call the order in with your credit card information, or print the form, indicate your selections and quantities, enclose payment and send to the address on the form. This method takes slightly longer to process. You can pay by check, money order or credit card (visa or mastercard).

A Word on Color

Getting color to correspond to reality on my own computer screen is not easy, and I know that color variation among monitors is immense.  Reproductions of original paintings are made from digital photos at very high resolution.  I work closely with my printer--through several proof stages-- to get the most faithful prints possible.

Matte colors vary from monitor to monitor and do not always come out on my screen the way they look in real life.  My verbal descriptions are the best indicators.  Also, please don't be put off from purchasing a print you like by the matte color.  Your local framer can provide just what you want.  I do provide custom matting, but it's costly--mostly because of shipping and no high-quantity discounts for me.

Likewise go by the frame color I indicate in the text for framed matted prints--either natural oak or black wood.  The images sometimes appear darker than reality.
